Introduced by Helen Mellors, head of agriculture and landed estates at Andrew Jackson, the sessions will provide a platform for discussion on the pivotal economic, legislative, and operational challenges facing the agriculture sector, as well as opportunities for growth, diversification, and strategic development.
The first event will feature a keynote speech from Robbie Moore MP, Shadow Minister of State for Farming and Rural Affairs, who will share his perspective on the sector and the current key considerations for those operating within it. This will be followed by an interactive Q&A session with a panel of advisors, comprising Brian Richardson, head of agriculture at Virgin Money; Ben Thiim, tax partner at Smailes Goldie; Rebecca Horne, consultant at Dee Atkinson & Harrison; and Helen Mellors, head of agriculture and landed estates at Andrew Jackson Solicitors.
The second event will feature Jeremy Moody, secretary and advisor at the CAAV (Central Association for Agricultural Valuers), as keynote speaker. Recognised as a highly respected and authoritative voice within the sector, Jeremy will address the key challenges and opportunities facing farmers and landed estates.
Attendees will have an opportunity to put their questions to a panel of industry advisors comprising Edward Stephenson, partner at Stephensons Rural; Mark Reid, agriculture relationship director at HSBC UK Bank plc; Amanda Millett, partner at UHY Calvert Smith LLP; and Helen Mellors, head of agriculture and landed estates at Andrew Jackson Solicitors.
