Andrew Jackson advises Flamingo Land on lease for Alphamare Waterpark
North Bay attraction reopens its doors to the public after several months’ closure
We’re delighted to have advised Malton-based leisure company Flamingo Land on the lease of Scarborough’s Alpamare Waterpark, which has recently reopened to the public in time for the summer tourism season.
Earlier this year, North Yorkshire Council named Flamingo Land as Alpamare’s preferred operator after the key North Bay attraction closed in December 2023 when the previous operator went into administration.
Built in 2016, the waterpark, which offers a wave pool, a splash and play pool, four state-of-the-art slides, two outdoor pools and a café and terrace bar, will add an alpine-themed spa and treatment zone over the coming months.
Kirsty Barsby, real estate & property partner at Andrew Jackson, said: – “Everyone involved has worked really hard to ensure that Alpamare is open for business in time for the busy holiday period.
“It has been a pleasure to assist the team at Flamingo Land on what is a key leisure facility in Scarborough and I wish them every success for their latest venture.”
