George is based in our York Office and has over 40 years of experience providing advice to individuals and their closely held companies, as well as various other structures such as Trusts.

Having initially qualified as Scottish Solicitor, George is also qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a wealth of experience working in both legal firms and private investment companies.   Throughout his career, George has advised clients on various matters, including Capital Taxes and Estate Planning. In addition, George has extensive experience working within charities. He is currently a Trustee of the Shears Charitable Foundation, and has been involved with STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) for 30 years. He is currently a member of their Worldwide Council .
