Andrew Jackson advises Kexgill Group on property sale
We are delighted to have advised long-standing client, the Kexgill Group, one of the largest privately-owned student accommodation specialists in the UK, on the sale of 54 properties let via an institutional Home Office approved contractor, to a private investor.
Andrew Jackson’s property partner, Helen Mellors, led the legal team that advised Kexgill on the sale of the Queen’s Campus Portfolio. Steve Carrick of Carrick Real Estate also advised Kexgill on the sale.
Richard Stott, managing director of the Kexgill Group, said: – “The sale was a necessary disposal of non-core assets let outside the student market whilst our business expands elsewhere.
“As always, I could rely on Helen and the team at Andrew Jackson for their professionalism, drive and tenacity to work around the clock and achieve the results we were looking for. At every stage of the project, and through some complex and challenging situations to resolve, I was never in any doubt that our interests were in very safe and capable hands.”
Helen Mellors added: – “We are delighted to be part of the Kexgill journey of which this sale is a significant part. Congratulations to Richard and his team.”
The disposal follows an exceptionally busy period for Kexgill, which has seen the group expand into Preston, Nottingham and Newcastle. It has also completed the £50million plus University Quarter® scheme.
