Solicitor: Family team
With a strong presence in the Hull and York markets, we are looking for a Family Lawyer, from newly qualified up to five years’ PQE, to join and help grow our busy and highly regarded Family team, with focus on matrimonial finance and private children law matters.
This is an opportunity, arising from the team’s expansion and high levels of work, to develop your career within a supportive and experienced senior lead team, building trusted relationships with clients and helping them navigate a range of personal and practical family law matters.
The role covers a broad range of family law matters, including relationship breakdown and the financial issues that can arise following separation, as well as cohabitation agreements and pre and post nuptial agreements. Working alongside the wider team, our preferred candidate will provide clear, practical and considered advice, which is carefully tailored to each client’s individual circumstances and objectives.

Are you a litigation lawyer looking for your next opportunity?
Andrew Jackson Solicitors is seeking to recruit solicitors to join our highly regarded Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, with opportunities in both commercial litigation and property litigation. We are particularly interested in candidates with around five years’ PQE, although we welcome applications from lawyers with a broader range of experience.

Commercial Property Lawyer
Are you a commercial property lawyer looking for an opportunity to develop your career, work on high quality and varied matters and be part of a team with ambitious plans for growth?
As part of the continued expansion of our highly regarded commercial property team, we are looking to recruit two solicitors, based in either Hull or York. We are seeking one lawyer with around two years’ PQE and a more senior lawyer with five or more years’ PQE.
This is an opportunity to join a positive and supportive working environment where people are encouraged to develop, contribute and build their careers. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, advising a diverse range of clients and developing strong relationships with businesses and professional contacts in the UK and internationally.
You will work on a varied range of commercial property matters, with good levels of client contact and the opportunity to take responsibility for your own work. Our approach is practical and commercially focused, taking the time to understand each client’s business and wider objectives so that our advice supports what they are looking to achieve.
For the more senior appointment, there will also be scope to play an active role in the continued growth of the team, developing client relationships, supporting colleagues and contributing to business development.

Business Development Team: Administrator
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to join our busy Business Development team in our Hull office and provide day-to-day support across a varied range of marketing, business development and client-focused activities.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of a busy team, takes pride in keeping things organised and has the confidence to use their own initiative. No two days will be quite the same, so we are looking for someone who can manage several projects and priorities concurrently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Working closely with colleagues across the Business Development team and the wider firm, you will provide practical administrative support across a broad range of activities. This will include helping to coordinate events and seminars, maintaining databases and contact information, supporting marketing and communications activity, assisting with business development projects, preparing documents and materials, and ensuring actions, deadlines and follow-ups are managed efficiently.
You will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable taking responsibility for your own workload, spotting what needs to be done and following tasks through to completion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will also be important, as the role involves working with colleagues at all levels of the firm, as well as clients, suppliers and other external contacts.
We would particularly like to hear from someone who is:
- highly organised, methodical and able to prioritise effectively;
- confident managing several projects, tasks and deadlines at the same time;
- exceptionally attentive to detail and committed to producing accurate, high-quality work;
- proactive, dependable and comfortable using their own initiative;
- a clear and professional communicator, both verbally and in writing;
- confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems;
- a collaborative team player who is also happy working independently; and
- positive, personable and keen to contribute to a busy and ambitious team.
Previous experience in an administrative, marketing or business development environment would be helpful, although just as important will be your approach: we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, capable and keen to learn and develop within the role.
