The Family team at Andrew Jackson Solicitors LLP recognise the benefits that complementary skills can bring to their work. Sally-Anne Neal, who is an Associate in the family team, completed Level 3 in Counselling Skills in June 2018 and will start Level 4 later in the year.

Sally said: “There is a significant overlap between the skills that we use as family lawyers and mediators and the skills used by a counsellor. Listening is so important and so is being aware of non-verbal communication. I have really enjoyed the course and draw upon it constantly in my day to day work with clients.”
